Welcome to Episode 20 of Load Save Game, a podcast where I talk to people about their personal journey with video games. I am your host Jose Eusebio.

Sorry for the delay, it’s been hard finding time to work on the show. But as many of you know, my wife and I had a baby. Consequently I recorded this episode with Earl like a year ago, so Earl, I’m very sorry it’s taken this long to get this one out, but I finally did it! 

My guest today is my very talented friend Earl Baylon. Earl is an actor, he’s done film, television, stage work, improv, and also, as we dive into in the episode, famously voiced Jonah in the 2013 reboot of the Tomb Raider series that went on to become a trilogy and even voiced Jonah in the Netflix animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. His recent credits also include roles in Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Arcane, and Wonder Man. He is also co-writing a project with our friend Justin Quizon. It’s a comic series called Lineage featuring the famous Filipino martial artist Doug Marcaida so make sure to check those out. 

Earl talks about a ton of great video game memories in the episode from his Game Boy batteries exploding in the Burger King drive through, booking the role of Jonah in the Tomb Raider video game series, and sending someone to the slightly wrong version of the GameFAQs website.
